When the shining lights of love
pass through the droplets of life...
it makes the arch of colours...

She turned to him
an angry brow
saying "no!"
but her ardent gaze
clung to him.

She pretended
to wrench her hand away
from his hold
but kept pulling him
closer!

-just sharing a collected one.

......Wit never withers... it withstands...... Oct 17, 2006 12:35 pm

I. S. Johar was one of the wittier person in India. He used to answer the questions in the popular film magazine "Film Fare". Don't know why I remebered him today. May be want to cheer up my mood! Just sharing some of his answers with questions.

I don't like your big ears and your smile. Any comment!
- I am familiar with this line. Once before a girl told me that, and then proposed to me on humanitarian grounds.

The Bible tells us to love our neighbours and also love our enemies, how come?
- Because they are generally the same people.

Is it important to know a girl's history before one marries her?
- It is more important to know her geography.

When a girl says that she has been a virgin all these days, would you dare to discount her words?
- Nights excluded or included?

If you want to explore an woman, what's the sarting point?
- Bottoms-up.

Define marriage?
- A public confession of a strictly private intention.

Men argue that women can not be trusted too far. What do women argue?
- Men can't be trusted too near.

Lately it's rumoured that you have been dating religious girls?
- Yes... one look at me and they exclaim, "Oh God!"

Behind every sucessful man stands?
- A surprised wife.

And lastly:

What is "Film Fare" famous for?
- Thanks for the compliment.

I have seen some of the fellow members at IFF also post witty comments. I always cherish those.

........ Soliloquy ......... Oct 15, 2006 11:16 am

It has been a quite long period I've written any post. I don't know why I'm not able to. And more importantly... I used to read each and every post in IFF though comment in those only I feel likely. But for the last 20 days, I'm not able to do so...

I was blogging earlier. Had to stop the earlier one due to some personal reasons. It took me a quite long time to start another. I have a very few friends here in IFF who know me. I just like a quite lot of bloggers here only from there post... not know them personally. I have my own reasons to be here. And I like it...

Hope to be in track again...

I'll end with just one couplet by Jazbi.

Jab kashti saabit-o-ssalim thi,
Saahil ki tamanna kisko thi;
Ab aisi shikasta kashti par
Saahil ki tamanna kaun kare!

(Who cared for the shore
When the boat was unbroken and intact?
Now with this broken boat
Why should there be any desire to reach the shore?)

Rang pairahan ka,
khushboo zulf lehrane ka naam,
Mausam-e-gul hai,
tumhare baam par aane ka naam...

(What is colour, but your garment,
What is fragrance, but your scattered tresses,
We call it the season of Spring,
When you appear on the balcony...)

For all their strength, men were sometimes like little children... Sep 4, 2006 2:42 pm

Man is seduced by what he sees;
Woman is seduced by what she hears.

The test of man is how well he is able to feel about what he thinks.
The test of a woman is how well she is able to think about what she feels.

Many a women love the male body, may be it's better designed than the male mind.

'PUN'CTUATION........ Sep 3, 2006 1:30 pm

Punctuation can make a lot of differences...

"Woman without her man is nothing."

The above line with difference in punctuation marks gives two different meanings.

It can suit each gender to boost their ego...

"Woman, without her man, is nothing."

"Woman! Without her, man is nothing."

Long live punctuation...

Once the doctor while making round in the mental hospital saw one patient sitting with the fishing rod casting inside the bath tub. He was on all his concentration. The doctor asked in good humour, "You caught any fish?"

The patient immediately replied, "Are you mad? Can't you see this is a bath tub only? How can there be fish inside it?"

Sometimes and other, we know what we are doing are meaningless. But as if we have to do for the sake of doing.

I'm not a writer. Nor I have much sayings as per ideal blogging. Just wanted to write whatever I feel likely to share. However meaningless it may be...

I will welcome bouquet and brickbats equally.
