Restore a relationship?

Difficulties can often be resolved through genuine communication and sincere mutual attempts to build balance and harmony. Also, when sharing a creative life becomes more interesting than problems, difficulties sometimes even melt away on their own.
When we think we no longer like someone, we usually think it is because of what they do, but if we confess every detail of what we're not telling them, magically we love them again as they are, unless their behavior really is intolerable, but that's not usually the real problem.
Equally, when another thinks they no longer like you because of what you do, if they confess to you every detail of what they aren't telling you, magically they love you again as you are, unless your behavior really is intolerable, but that's not usually the real problem.
Try confessing everything, and asking them to confess everything. If both of you are uncritical and listen patiently and kindly, it might be stormy, but if you both persist respectfully, you can restore mutual love and respect, even if you ultimately decide you're incompatible.

Peace?

The war in Afghanistan and Pakistan is to secure a pipeline to bring Caspian Basin oil and gas to the Indian Ocean. Elements in the US government want to control oil and access to it by India, China, Russia, and the rest of the world.
Many years ago, local tribes caught Osama bin Laden and offered to hand him over to the US government, but the elements of the US government in charge of such negotiations refused to accept the offer. These elements in the US government don't want an end to war. They want perpetual war, not to fight al-Qaeda or the Taliban, but to keep control away from other large countries, and to make profits for the military-industrial complex.
The conflicts over Iraq and Iran are also over oil. Elements in the US government encouraged Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, and then used his invasion as an excuse to attack Iraq.
Incidentally, elements in the US government encouraged Georgia to invade South Ossetia. Was this to help Russia by giving them an excuse to take control of South Ossetia and Abkhazia? Are some at the top of the US and Russia working together for the multinational elite, and against the ordinary citizens of all countries?
Most Israelis and Palestinians would be in peaceful cooperation if their leaders and the military-industrial complex of their own and other countries weren't stirring up conflicts to gain wealth and power for themselves, while the middle class and poor suffer disruption, oppression, and violence.
All other governmental "reasons" for war are excuses and lies. The common people suffer. Some seek peace peacefully. Others fight injustice with violence, which makes things worse. Some people on all sides and at all levels are corrupt. We loving and honest individuals and groups must patiently and incrementally extend kindness, truth, and constructive tools to the majority of people at all levels, who want mostly to prosper in self-responsible freedom.
Obama, the Clintons, Pelosi, and most Democrats in power pretend to be liberal progressive populists, but most of them are actually puppets of the multinational oligarchs. They throw us cosmetic crumbs and empty generalized promises and procrastinations. True progressives include Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney, Noam Chomsky, and a few others.
While we must continue to increase polite peaceful pressure on our governments to reform, we must also bypass our governments, and do for ourselves what they fail to do for us.

Should discussion of poetry, literature, arts, and philosophy focus on the artist's or thinker's communication, craft, and aesthetics, or on our own psychoanalytic voyeurism of them, or on our own sociological proselytizing?
