Dear Friends in IFF.. I am a newcomer here and like any new entrant am a bit hesitant to bare my heart out. Don't know how it goes over here.Yet to read any blog in IFF although I have a little experience in the blogspot else where. Sens in west Bengal are an elite lot or so they claim! I belong to the clan of the Sens but without much of an eliteness the sens claim themeselves to be. However, with my little experience about life and its vissicisitudes I will try to communicate with friends if I find my ramblings tolerable. Kolkata these days is a saucer filled with rain water, slush, mud and clay with drain water overflowing with all sorts of unhygienic particles floating around everywhere more so in the street called college street and one trip during the rains by an outsider is enough to make him abhor the city for life. And if there is a traffic jam which is quite frequent and life sapping you better scurry for cover! Still any Bengali worth his name is in love with the city most intimately and it is possible that one may lose ones love of life simply by criticising the city for its many ills and warts and what not thereby angering the sweet heart beyond redemption. One can take a bitter criticism of ones own failings but not that of the city. By the way I am going to watch Pipli[Live]at the Inox and it is time I go for a slight make over or else the bf may be upset with my boorishness for which i am really infamous. Hi, Senensation; Welcome to IFF. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, i had the good fortune of living il gn city of joy Kolkata (than Calcutta) and it still remains one of my favourite cities in india. Though i have travelled each state of india and most of the major cities of india. Please do keep writing, you have naturaift for it. Wish you all the best.

Came into this blog because of my favourite word (Nonsense) but found a Sen producing more Sense. Being a non-Sen, I'm off with a word of welcome to the Sen. Now how much of a Sense does that make?? (yet another 30-second pYYro nonsense)

Hi, Sen, the truth you have written about the beauty of the city is not only in kolkata. The most of the city in india will never change its looks , until we put efforts towards beautifying it. I will tell you what i feel...! I want someone else to come forward ,take leadership and organize a group of people who can put their true effort in cleanliness, discipline & increase the beauty of the city. Then i may join the hands with them..! I can't take a first step...! because i am too busy in my work...! Till then i can bear all the troubles. I know roads are not good but still i am riding my bike ...! cursing the people who responsible for that. Stop my breath when i am forced to go near a dustbin ...! cursing the people who are responsible for that..! and throw the waste into the box from a long distance. I am not bothered even if falls on the ground...! B'coze i'm too busy i can wait...! that's why i jump the signal.. n not worried about the others. The city will surely change when i change myself

Pyyro, My sincere thanks to a Non-Sen for his visit and nice comments. i don't know how much of sense have I injected to my blog but feel humbled by the responses that I have garnered. Try making an alternative profile as a guy and blogging there. Will set all notions to their right orientations. Makes sense? ... or is it all still in pYYro's nonsense??

Ms Sen pYYro is not discussing the 'merit' part of it. After more than 3 years at IFF, I think he's passed that phase. (What merit can you possibly give to a nameless face ... or a faceless name??) Look at the lighter side of it. Read the lines between the comments and you'll see what I mean.

Even though I have traveled a lot I am yet to visit Kolkata. So I can only be neutral to the views expressed by the blogger as my vote resembles. It's long time since I read any of the blogs posted at IFF and equally long time since I made any comments on any of the blogs. Reading your blog I feel that there is in you a writer waiting to spread wings. Your style of writing is good and equally laudable is your power of observation. Keep it up. What I still fail to understand is why people who love serious blogging come to this site where people come mostly to quench their thirst for lust and love of flesh.
