EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there…to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength, will power or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test limits of your soul.

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere; safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create whom you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count. Appreciate everything that you possibly can, for you may never experience it again.

Talk to people whom you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to.

Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

Hi Ms Tulip-yet again, you did your best, as you correctly dealt upon, everything happens for a reason, call it Divine, Fate, Hand of a super power or self made, for every happening, there is a reason. Going through that mill of each happening, we learn, that experience paves the way for a better tomorrow. In every failure, there could be a stepping stone for better, to get the best. So failures in life are common, they can be true lessons, not to repeat same old ,istakes, they can help to mould ourselves better. In this context, we see a similar trait in the process of good old arrannged mariage system wherein many proposals come, boys meet the girls, vice versa, but only what clicks remains, which need not necessarily end in success in true sense. Well done friend-good luck.

May be of the deeds done in your past life. This books say that somebody up is keeping your account and has noted down your deeds of your past life. Hence - watever is happpening in your present life lik good things, bad things, happines, sadness, love - each and every event in your life, is a direct result of deeds done in one's past life.
You blog brought back memories abt this book - which i had read abt 15 yrs back. Thanks. keep it up.

Before you believe in yourself, Get to know yourself. Know what works best for you. Give your time and energy to others. When you do this, you will get positive feed back and get respect from others. These are building blocks for self respect, which is essential to believing in yourself.

And when you start believing yourself, you will do your best.

Wishing you all the happiness and love throughout your life.........

    Take care
Remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be, because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Hi Tulip:

In this journey called life ...we all carry our baggage...some does it like a burden, some with a smiling face...and others who hire a coolie...

Well we go to the temples, churches and mosque's with the fond hope that carrying this load becomes easier..

Reading your piece, my mind travelled in time...looking back we are all carrying this load...it only depends how you carry it..

Smile..the fabric of life when woven has got this intricate weaves, where each thread represents your deeeds, present and past...accept them...drape them like a beautiful saree...why grudge !

Warmest,
magician5000

The inspiration behind this poem is the nature...where the various elements are in a sort of rebellion at times...but there is beauty in this rebellion too...

Well said!
There's a poem which echoes your sentiments truly...
JUST SMILE
Don't struggle;
You are bound to fail.
Just smile a sweet smile.
Your life-boat
Is bound to sail,
Without fail.
Don't cry;
You are bound to fail.
Just smile a soulful smile.
Your life-boat
Is bound to sail,
Without fail.

when someone says :"everything happens for a reason", one thing you can be assured of: the person who says so is one who believes in fate and destiny. There are a whole lot of others who do not believe in destiny and fate. There is a cause for everything. For anything to happen there has to be a cause but that does not mean that all that has happened and all that happens are for a reason. A lot of happenings take place around one every day, but do all those events affect me? No, definitely not. What affects me may have little effect on another person who shares my living place.
However, the faith that everything happens for a reason is good for an individual to remain optimistic in life. When some tragedy or misfortune hits a person this view helps remain optimistic.
